IdleLife : I Resign

I have tendered my resignation officially today. My last day will be the 31st July. Come to think of it, this is only my 2nd resignation in my whole working life since 1990. How’s that for a record.

At this moment, not everybody knows about my resignation. We are still working together, however my daily task is reduced. I am cleaning my working area a little everyday, backing up my projects from my workstation and cleaning up all the cluters in my workstations.

Sometime now, 1 fell sad to leave after 11 years. However a decision has been made and its has to be done. The decision was made in July 2003 when my PR for Australia was approved. However at that time you feel about it.

So I do not know how to proceed from here. Either I close this blog or continue it from Australia or start a new one. That’s it. My last day in Singapore will be 3rd August – 6 days before our National Day.

The lorry waiting.

Packaging. . .

The scene before the movers come over, when they are repackaging my stuffs and the transport to their warehouse where again all will be packed in a 20ft container and shipped over to my new place in Melbourne.

Idle Mess

It has a been quite awhile since the last time I updated this blog. It’s not that I have lost the interest but the time and energy is directed to other things.

I will be making the BIG move to Australia at the end of July, 29th to be exact.

At this moment, I have to go thru’ all my things that I wanted to bring over, selecting (less of them) and discarding (most of them-although reluctantly). I don’t know where to start. The mover will come to collect on the 12th. I'm under pressure to pack.

While all this is going thru’ , I feel a little skeptical of how life will be over there. I have a few friends there, who have now frequently calling me to come over as soon as possible. The feelings is mixed. Those who have done it will know. You are leaving your “comfort zone”.

I have not told any of my friends about it. I’m gonna miss them and also my family. I keep this short. The house is in a mess now.

Hey, how could I forget. Today is my birthday.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to ME 8)

Idle Life: Competing for Space

These stickers advertise the services of locksmiths around my area. You can see them practically wherever there are heavy human traffic and of course near you. However, some don't take competition very kindly. . . Posted by Picasa
