Idle BusFare

Something interesting was in the papers last week or so, regarding bus passengers who cheated by tapping their cards after boarding the bus. This is not right cause the system relies on HONESTY which is sadly and seriously lacking among us Singaporean.

I’ve notice this trend long ago but you can’t do anything except that I gave them the look or the stare. And even that you can’t do it too obviously or you’ll in trouble. The youngster could beat you up and the Unties and Uncles could nagged you all the way through your journey until the stake is against you.

The only solution is that there should be a bus inspector right by the exit door monitoring this. The best is to have them there for buses that ply the expressway, that’s where some dishonest commuters tap their card to save a considerable amount for the trip.

It seem that this is worst than I though after the Bus Operators decided to charged, fine and possibly imprison the offenders. They ARE losing a lot of money it seems . . . . .
