NTUC has an IDLE web site provider

I'm going for a 4 days holiday this weekend. Everytime I go and anything thats more than 24hrs away from home, I will get some travel insurance. And this usually will be by NTUC Income.

This bog should have been done last week on the 5th Mar but it does not matter now anymore. But somehow please be aware of any transaction that is done online.

INCOME did the norm of outsourcing some of their services and one of them is their insurance. As usual I apply online and after going to INCOME website, I was directed to this site. Everthing looks similar but has a much fresher look than INCOME old site. I filled in all the details and the records that they have of me is correct. I went thru' the application fill in the credit card number and pressed "SUBMIT" but its like "WHF" I was directed back to the starting page.

Then I realised that this site is not a secure site!!!! There is no "https" at the URL address and there is no "LOCK" icon at the bottom right of the screen. How can they missed this!!!! and how can I missed that!!!!! Maybe because I trusted INCOME too much.

I called the customer service but they are not aware of this DUH!!!!

So its Monday (7 mar) then when I personally went down to the branch to apply for the travel insurance. No credit-card but cash thank you. Even they were unaware of this problem when I brought it up. "Please fill in the feedback form" solution was all they can advice.

However, today (9mar) the problem is solved and back to the old site and the outsouced site is just plain unworkable and IDLE site.

The guys must be sleeping and the lack of interest and awareness to online security is totally unacceptable especially so if it concerns to some trusted government department. However the good news is that this is no PHISING.
