IdleLife : Hi5

I love children program. I grew out with such programs. Sesame Street – I truly followed it when I was in my LATE teens till early 20’s. Kinda old for Sesame Street but I truly enjoyed them and would sacrifice my Saturdays with my friends for that 1 hour!

Sesame Street is still aired today, but I have little time for it or could I say that there are now too many children programs that had copied it. Moreover, the children prefers complex animations rather than the puppets. SAD.

My last fav children program is Hi5. It has simple catchy tunes and it’s only ½ an hour. It’s been very successful in Singapore with sell out tickets for their concert. However I never attend any of them.

Their program improved and changes from time to time which is good. However, their audiences do not. There will still be small children watching as the older ones outgrow the program. Today I have a chance to watch it. Wow, the 5 presenters have really grown. Sooner or later, I think they have to find their replacements. I have no qualm about Australian children, but the Hi5 presenters clothing, especially Kellie, Charli and Kathleen, are all bare shoulders. I don’t have their old promotions posters for comparison but I’m sure my memory has not failed me yet. They used to be properly attired, meaning decently – all proper.

I don’t know. I could be me only. So Sesame Street it will be from today. . . .
